I had the extreme pleasure of attending the Elevate Conference this year.  This was my first conference I have ever attended and I went all by myself.  I knew the moment I arrived that it was going to FABULOUS in every which way.  Here are just a few of the highlights of the day...

Beautiful tables topped with all kinds of handmade and artistic goods.

Sweet and savory snack bar filled with lots of yummy treats.

Inspiration at every table made with love by DeeDeeMotique

Enjoyed chocolate covered oreos from Bella's Bakery.

Salty Bison artwork...need I say more.

Bright and colorful personalized place settings.

Happy inspiration in the bouquet of blooms.

My favorite feather prints from Modify Ink.

Swag for days from all the fantastic sponsors.

Just one of our super cool and ever so stylish speakers....Alison Prince from Pick Your Plum.  She is amazing and She. Will. Not. Be. Stopped!

Let's just say I am a new lover of Cafe Rio and Crio Bru {it's like coffee but with cocoa beans}

Made a few crafts thanks to the ladies at Sizzix.

And last but certainly not least....the desserts!

{Bake} Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls

I grew up eating my fair share of peanut butter balls thanks to my grandma.  She made them for every holiday and special occasion and always managed to hide a few just for me in the fridge for later.  I am happy to share her recipe with all of you because when you have something good, you share it with the world....and these my friends are good!

  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3-3/4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 3 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 4 cups (24 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • Directions

    1. In a large bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until blended; gradually beat in confectioners' sugar until smooth. Stir in cereal. Shape into 1-in. balls. Refrigerate until chilled.
    2. In a microwave, melt chocolate chips and 1/4 cup shortening; stir until smooth. Dip balls into chocolate; allow excess to drip off. Place on a waxed paper-lined pan. Let stand until set.
    3. Refrigerate until set. Makes6 dozen.

Carefully put a few in a wax paper lined box or wrap each one individually with wax paper and tie with a sweet ribbon.  These make for the best gifts or as delicious dessert for all occasions.

{DIY} Chalkboard Fun

This fun chalkboard/picture grid recently came into my possession thanks to the ever so lovely Alison Prince from Pick Your Plum.  She gifted each of the Elevate conference ladies with one as they left for the evening.  I instantly knew where mine was going...my sweet daughter's room.  We added a few special touches and set it right on top of her craft/writing table.  It made for the perfect addition to her room decor.
